Hello,

I have a MDF floor standing 550mm rectangular sink/vanity unit. The vanity unit tucks up under the sink.

Since the MDF is now expanding where the unit meets the floor because it is impossible to wash myself without water going down my elbows and onto the floor, the unit is going to have to be replaced. It looks bloody awful now.

I was thinking a wall hanging unit, but the sink is screwed/bolted to a stud wall, so will there be enough strength in the wall to hang the unit.

Also, I cannot see any 550mm hanging units so I might have to buy a 600mm unit and sink, so does that mean more new screw holes for the 600mm sink?

If I had known/relaised that water resitant MDF was still MDF, I might have thought more about having MDF touching a bathroom floor, but I am where I am now.

Please point me in correct directions for replacement 550mm hanging under a rectangular sink vanity unit, or a good guide on installing a 600mm combo of the same?

Thank you.
