Hi all

i need to change an MDPE fitting as its leaking. I;ve looked at the Tee and two sides say 20mm, (with plastic pipe going into it) and the other side has a 15mm copper pipe.

I've had a look online and can't seem to find any fittings which match this.

Also, how is the copper pipe fitted into this? Do you need to use a speciel insert?

I've never used or even seen MDPE fittings before!

Its similar to this

Assuming it's exactly like that picture, and 20mm on each T, you need one of these for each 15mm copper pipe added to this T.

The 20mm's each need an insert.

Personal choice: I find this particular type of mdpe fitting to be very unreliable in use. When possible I use the Philplas ones, but appreciate they can be harder to find. Each type will have its own adapter set for common sizes.

It could be that the pipe is scratched/damaged/scored and the o-ring won't seal properly. Will never seal properly.

This will require the pipe to be cut back and the joint remade...if there is enough slack in the piping to do it.
