Hi all, im new to this forum and this is my first post so please bear with me.
Right, what i want to know is, what is the average resistance in ohms for the different boiler components? e.g fan, gas valve, aps etc.
Should the resistance be pretty much the same for each component in different types of boiler?

Any info would be much appreciated. Thanks

nope you need the information for each component from the manufacturer or manu's instructions (if it has them) a fan may look like any other fan but the resistances can be completly different, one of the reasons why tech lines are so busy.

Ok cheers for that. Just trying to get my head round the whole resistance thing. If i was working on a boiler fan and the manuals stated that the resistance should be 45ohms and in actual fact it was lets say 70ohms, would that mean that it was not working to its full potential?

An easier way of putting it is, if the resistance is higher than stated, would the fan be working correctly? thanks

Google Ohms Law mate, that'll help you a lot.
Buy a good quality autorange multimeter also.
