I have just moved into a property with an immersion heater. I think I've set the timer perfectly but still no hot water.. Oh and I yes I have turned the switch on for the boiler!

Any idea if it is possible to put this on constant/ instant so that I can have a shower! :(

Thanks in advance :)

im guessing you dont have a gas/oil boiler, so electric heaters and water?

the heating/water maybe on economy 7, ie only heats at night.

how long has it been switched on for?

Hello and thank you for your reply. Clearly I am a girl and didn't know what info to give! : / haha

It's a megaflo immersion boiler with a timeguard timer (thing)

The model number on the manual is ETU 8000

Thank you!

It's been switched on for two days but I programmed it again this morning and the light has been on since around 8am.

Yes it is just electric and no gas/ oil

Thank you!

I'm in Coventry. The call out charges are horrific because it's a weekend, although it should be arranged trough the letting agent who aren't answering.. Great lot of use they are!!

Guess I'll just have to wait until tomorrow, thank you anyway!

Well if you are renting and up to date with the rent then the landlord must fix anything thats wrong.

They should also have showed you how to set it.

I dont see why call out costs should be high. Iron Naz has vowed to rid Cov of plumbing cowboys!

Do you have a boiler or is your cylinder (the thing you're calling a boiler is actually called a cylinder...) just electrically heated? Or to put it another way, what do you have to heat your house?

The cylinder is heated electrically, as is the rest of the property.
