I am extending my house and this gives me the opportunity to upgrade my water supply, so wanted to check how much I should be upgrading by!

CURRENT SITUATION:
Its a 3 bedoom house with 3 bathrooms.
Water pressure is 4lb but drops when few taps in operation, from 16l/m to 8l/m. The current pipes to the mains at 15mm.
Boiler is a 30 CDI Wocester

PLUMBER SUGGESTION:
-keep same boiler
-upgrade to 30mm mains pipe
-install a Coldsteam 300 Accumulator
-install a 210L Megaflow

He reckons this will give me top end water supply, high pressure and never run out.

Is this overkill? Do I need all this for a 3 bedroom house? I definitely want very high pressure showers and want people to be able to all shower at same time with no issue.

Help welcome please!!

Your current combi will only supply one shower at a time.

A 210 li cylinder will give three very short showers at the same time.

A 300 li cylinder is the minimum to consider.

A 32 mm supply pipe should give enough flow not to need an accummulator.

Your problem is you want to use more than one shower at the same time. That luxury will cost you about £4000.
