Hi, I have a melamine faced chipboard kitchen door as part of a cupboard in my kitchen. This sits below the sink area. Over the years I imagine water has ran off the bench and onto the top of the cabinet and as a result there is a small amount of swell at the top of it. Can this be repaired or at least prevented from getting any worse. I was thinking of putting a thin line of clear silicon over it or varnishing the area to prevent it getting worse. Unfortunately the range of fittings, Arcadia Calvados has long been discontinued.

Thanks

steve
