Hi
We have a conventional boiler (water tanks and immersion heater) with a vent (believe its called a balanced flue) onto an external wall. We have been told that the boiler is around 25 years old, but is still going strong. The flue is situated under plastic guttering which keeps melting, making a spout, resulting in water pouring into the vent and consequentially the house. We have replaced the guttering 3 times in 12 months or so and have tried putting a steel plate above the vent to protect the guttering but this seems to have worsened the situation. Does anyone have any further ideas on what we can try?
Thanks for any replies in advance - we really need the help!
