MEM vs Eaton

Do MEM still make domestic consumer units and how do they rank against makes like Schneider and Hagger?

Also is Eaton and MEM the same brand these days, I had a MEM CU in my old house that was built in 2003.

MEM is now Eaton. They still make MEM stuff but it’s Eaton branded.

They make consumer units but IMO they’re not as nice looking as Hager or Schneider but in terms of quality those three would be my top 3. Probably Schneider, Eaton and Hager in that order.

I fitted an all RCBO Eaton CU in my parents house when they were still plastic and looked ok. The new ones look a bit industrial.

When I finally buy a house will I put Eaton in? Probably not. That’s really based on looks as much as anything.

I do like their colour coded MCB dollys though, that’s a nice touch

Eaton still call there boards Memsheild,
Delta and Bill where also forms of Mem all now branded Eaton.

Currently Memsheild 3, superseding Mem branded Memsheild 1 and Memsheild 2
Most of there single phase stuff if not all now is Metal based so ideal for both commercial and Domestic nowadays
