memory stick

I was thinking of gettin a 1gb memory stick, but after seeing how slow my 256mb one is at uploading, i am not sure i will bother.

are they all this slow?

mine is using usb2

You may just have a device that doesn't utilise the full potential of the bus. The hi-speed devices generally carry a cost premium.

Check the read and write speeds as well, they differ between brands.
