Have fitted the boxes in the Paramount today.
The back of the cavity to the fresh skim is 48mm, so I chose to use strips of 10mm wood and stuck them to the back of the cavity with a goodly amount of quick-drying goo applied to both surfaces.
Gave it an hour to go off a bit, then screwed the boxes in.
So far, so good.
Will leave the first fix till the decorating has been done. Next job before the decorator comes is to go round and sand down the rough spots and fill and sand the bits that need filling with Toupret.
