How about replacing it like for likeIt may be very problematic trying to replace that metal box for a plastic dryline box.
The plastic box will be slightly deeper, and the wooden noggin or stud will stop it going back.
You should be able to salvage the old box, by giving the lugs a slight pinch with pliers, then re-threading with a 3.5mm tap.
The ones thats there already is 16mm deepFor like for like, you need a metal 25mm deep one.
Yeh that was the wrong one haha, so just going to swap for the metal 16mm one.The one in the picture on POST NUMBER 13 looks like a 25mm one.
Best check the photo/switch in question before you buy.
