Metal or plastic shed? And how to line the walls?

IMO you still cannot screw much into the walls of a plastic shed.
With a wooden one you can add more wood, battens etc. as and when needed.

Also when at the end of it's life it is recyclable where a plastic one is possibly not.

Agreed, you cannot easily screw things to the walls of a plastic shed.
However, I have three shelves which are easy to install and, for good measure, I also put in a wooden set of shelves that had been in our garage.
I'm sure it would also be possible to rotate the shelves, or some of them, of that cabinet to present wooden surfaces into which to screw hooks or other supports for whatever purposes you need.
Anything's possible with a bit of imagination!
