I am in the middle of a dilema
need a new banister as the old one in the house when we bought it needs replacing,I want wooden spindles mainly because they are about a pound each so £40.00 would do me,the wife wants these black metal jobs from B&Q cost about a fiver a go.thats before you buy the brackets,so is it £200+ or £40 ish,or am I just being tight.
also any tips on replacing the handrails ,I have 3 newal posts which look difficult to do anything with without making them weaker as my stairs spiral, at the top they come back about 4ft on to the landing ,
any help much appreciated apart from telling me I am tight and give her what she want of course
