I was just wondering if anyone knows if you can get strips of "MF" connectors? i.e. an "MF" equivalent of the good old choc-block?

(Ignore the L1/L2/etc legends, I just tiled a cropped bit of an image of a J804 to show what I mean.)

Yes, I know that Wago sell a range of 2-, 3-, 4-way etc connectors, but that isn't the same as being able to take a strip of 2-way and cut off what you need and link, or not, as appropriate.

Yes, I know that to be classed as an MF joint it has to be in an enclosure saying it's maintenance free etc, but if the underlying reasons for allowing MF joints to be inaccessible are sound then there must be advantages from using that type of connector even if they don't end up qualifying as MF wrt BS 7671.

[DISCLAIMER]No, I've not looked. I can't immediately think of search terms that would be most successful, and I've got a half-drunk glass of Rioja catching flies downstairs and I can hear it wistfully calling my name[/LAZYGIT]

We use to get machines from Germany, these came with MF connectors, not a clue who made them or what they were called, but there are made. Also back in the 1980's working for a Dutch company in Algeria we had loads of little grey things with a thumb indentation and options for 4 wires. Although in this county we did not see MF connectors until much latter, they have been around for a long time.

I remember when going on holiday picking up items not readily available in the UK. I had a walmat charger for my radio, using a shaver socket it was not held firm, but in Spain I could get in line sockets which gripped the pins well, even if it did come from Hong Kong. So I tried googling "German wire connecting blocks" and came up with this
