Micro bore

Going on from another thread about a victorian house my work mate is buying....

We noticed that all the pipes from the rads are micro bore and are fed behind the dot and dab walls.

Is this quite common these days?

I much prefer to see 15mm on the outside of the walls.

The house has been recently renovated.

As long as system is kept well maintained ie
