After only a week of use my Bosch classix stopped draining. I admit that I don't get every tiny bit of food off the plates before putting them through (sometimes leave a few grains of rice etc). However, I was quite happy to clean the microfilters ever now and again to get rid of the bits.
There wasn't anything in the microfilters, instead the blockage was in the bit where the dishwasher waste connects under the sink (in the spigot?). Unsurprisingly there were quite a few grains of rice and some even larger bits of veg.
I thought that the microfilters were supposed to catch these larger bits of food. As I said, Im quite happy to clean the filters every now and again but its a bit annoying to have to clean the spigot once a week.
Is it normal for such large bits of food to get through the filters? I looked at the spigot and think I might be able to alter it so that it would allow grains of rice to pass through - would this cause major problems?
Sorry for my lack of knowledge - especially if Im using the word 'spigot' incorrectly.
