Microgyr 40 Control

Microgyr 40 central heating control box is set to Central Heating OFF and Hot Water ON.

When the HW button is depessed manually, both HW AND CH switch on, instead of just the HW as expected.
This previously functioned OK.

There is now also an alpha "B" character flashing on the display panel. What does this represent?

Finally, is there a copy of the manual anywhere?

This is very old and obsolete. The HW button may have a double function as a boost, so it may be operating correctly. The 'B' flashing suggests battery, and I think I recall these as being battery operated. Loosen the screws and remove rom the back plate and you will verify this from the wiring diagram.
