Hi All

I think I have a fan on it's way out - getting a bit noisy and the boiler is getting on now although, works very well. Anyway, I was outside the other day and the sound through the flue sounded a bit louder than normal and also, I noticed the other day also, It's a bit noisy in the house too - no real screeching or anything just a bit noisier. When the boiler turns off, it's like a noisy bearing slowing down...it's a bit hard to explain. I was hoping an attached movie file would help but I . Anyway, the fan is the only part I can think of which will be making this noise but I'm more than happy to get some advice on it. It looks easy to replace but I'm not sure if I should do it.

I will be calling my boiler cover company of course first but frankly, even though I can get all the parts for this thing, they will just want to sell me a new one which is just the normal response in this throw away world and I don't have a spare few grand kicking about at the moment.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

TIA. Steve

As said, it looks easy to do but my question was should I? I have no issues getting someone to come in and do it but I'm not having my pants pulled down when they ask me to change the boiler which they always do.....
