More often than not, the bulb cannot be accessed from the inside, so its the top and side casing off usually......make sure the machine has been disconnected from the mains for a good while though as there are large capacitors inside.

Yes they often make them impossible to access, this is not just so they can charge a hefty fee for one of their service engineers to resolve the issue for you, but also the microwaves still have a nasty electrical bite waiting for you even when been isolated!!!!!!!
