We have a Miele Turbothermic G579SC
The last time i ran it, it went through the cycle as normal, only it did not use the detergent tablet (the flap had opened and the tablet had not dissolved)

I ran it again to no avail, then again on a different cycle. Just wondering if this is a common problem thats easily sorted??

Also, I think it's the salt dispenser at the base next to the drain has been melted through somehow so water collects in the hole and becomes stagnent , is there anywhere i can get a new one from?

I realise i probably haven't explained myself very well, but i'm not sure on the technical terms

The salt container is a seperate unit and has a screw cap on it.
Check the spray arms aren't blocked with detrius, especially the holes at the ends of the arms.

Thanks for the reply.
They look clear enough, but was thinking of putting a bit of bleach over them just to make sure.
Will this damage them at all?

Thanks

Bleach won't damage them but any spillage or left over bleach can cause the machine to "overfoam"

I have the same problem, I have discovered that it is because the machine is not allowing enough water into the machine. Easily tested just open the door and add a couple of jugs of water when it's washing.
What I need to know is where is the level sensor located and how do I fix it?

Anyone with a service manual out there?
