Bosch dishwasher detergent dispenser staying closed

My Bosch dishwasher is about 2 years old .It works ok but after a wash cycle the tablet is still in the dispenser. what opens the little flap . I have cleaned it and it opens and closes manually no problem .please help.

I have now replaced the actuater (the device that triggers the detergent compartment flap) the flap still does not work , it looks like the problem is something in the control module which is going to cost about £80 to replace.
any ideas ??

If the £80 is important to you, just throw the tablet in the cutlery holder. It will not start to dissolve until the hot water starts.

Did you replace the electrical or mechanical part?

I have replaced the electrical part , it looks like some sort of solenoid.

Operated directly by the pcb (or programmer if it's an older machine). Either faulty pcb (timer) or wiring.
