Bosch dishwasher - tablet dispenser lid

I've got a Bosch dishwasher and the tablet dispenser door doesn't release during the wash cycle.

The latch isn't stuck and the lid still springs open.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I seem to recall a post somewhere on this forum that traced this problem to a hairline crack somewhere on the dispenser unit. Might be worth getting your magnifying glass out and taking a close look...

The door catch is released by a solenoid within the dishwasher door. There's a good chance that this has gone AWOL, but occasionally its the wiring that goes to it - failing due to continuous flexing. Cheers John
