Miele prestige plus 6. Access from the front?

My Miele prestige plus 6 is coming up with the rinses light flashing. I think its brushes as the drum won't spin but drain fill etc is still working. Machine is 9 years old. I've never had it serviced etc I've just used it.

I seem to remember from brochures etc that the whole front panel of the machine swings open so you can access the inside.

Is this right or have I dreamt it?

Do I need access to the back of the machine to change brushes?

I have a tumble dryer stacked on it in a tiny washroom. Pain in the arse.
