I have just bought the above stacking kit for a W1714 washing machine and a tumble dryer. Do you need to screw the kit into the top of the machine? or do the screws just sit in the blobs of mastic they say to put under each screw hole?
I havent dealt with a stacking kit for a while, in fact i've only ever been called out too one, and from memory you need to remove the lid of the washing machine ( the actual casing lid ) and the stacking kit simply fixes too the screw holes where the casing lid used too fit. Did you get instructions with the kit as there are several clips that have to be re-positioned out of the way of the kit. If you get stuck mate give us a shout monday and i'll check with the techies at work.

The instructions do not mention removing the lid, in fact i bought previously the wrong kit which did say to fit by removing lid, And i know by looking at this one that it would never fit. It definately fits on top of the lid because that is the only wat the tray will slide out.
