Miele tumble dryer problem

Hi,
I have a Miele Novotronic T284 vented tumble dryer which will not produce any heat - the 15minute cool air programme works fine but all the other programmes stop after 3minutes and the machine then beeps continuously and the "machine iron" section of the display lights up. Its clear of dust so it isn't that.
Miele are incredibly unhelpful and will not even tell me how to get to the likely faulty parts - but they have offered to come an shave a look for £249!!!!

Does anyone have any advice - it would be much appreciated?

How old is it?
What does the Troubleshooting section of the User Instructions say about this?

It's 6.5 yrs old and the manual says yes there is a problem and to contact Miele!!

If you are very lucky, it's a bad connection. Otherwise...
In the absence of a circuit diagram, all you can do is replace the PCB that's faulty. If there's more than one PCB, tracing the faulty board might not be easy.
Finding a supplier of board might be a pain.

I prefer Siemens/Bosch.
