My latest additions to my Milwaukee kit.

Great tools but always wonder if they are an investment or tool to make less money?


Nevertheless both make my life easier.

What is the addition? I’ve got the 18 volt cordless combi with metal chuck which is very powerful and well balanced, but some of their other stuff seems overpriced and less reliable compared say to Makita.

A pump stick (similar to submersible), a light and something else, possibly a heater

If he is correct about the warranty terms, and I don't see how he wouldn't be, then Milwaukee are poor when it comes to repairs under warranty. He also explained how you can't buy individual repair parts but need to buy most of the machine at once which isn't economical, if you can even buy them in the first place. Yet, some buy nothing but Milwaukee, just brand loyalty with no good reason it seems.

It may be that he is not an authorised warranty repairer, so Milwaukee don’t supply him with the relevant parts, or do so at higher pr, which is why they are not economical to repair. His high praise for Hikoki seems linked to his ability to repair them. I’m not criticising him, that is part and parcel of being a content creator.

If people buy any make of power tool from his shop, he can deal with the manufacturer on their behalf within the warranty period, including sending them back for repair. Except Milwaukee, customers must deal with them directly.

That kinda reinforces his point. He can still get parts for 20 year old Makitas but can't get parts for a 6 month old Milwaukee.
