Hello all
My 2010 Mini Cooper 1.6 petrol, 20K miles has developed a small oil leak. It looks to be coming from a screw in sensor which I assume is an oil pressure sensor, it’s mounted low down on firewall side of the block just above the sump joint, timing belt end of the engine and visible through the offside wheel arch with the wheel off.
It looks pretty difficult to get at as the offside drive shaft passes in front of it.
Please can someone confirm….
Is it the oil pressure sender, or something else?
Is it common to get a leak from them?
Is easy to change or do you have to pull the driveshaft out?
Thanks for your help.
