Hi everyone,

Does anyone happen to have one available? Any other FF* manuals would also do, all these boilers must be very similar. Just anything about such boilers, the more detailed, the better - I just moved it to my new house and I have no single piece of paper about this boiler. What I'm after is a documentation how to take this beast to pieces partially and how it works internally. I just discovered a leak, I diagnosed where it is and now I'm to take condensate tank out somehow to sort it out. I'd rather have a look at proper manual before I start doing that.

Anyway knowing how my boiler works is a must. Otherwise one has to trust servicing engineer who always says that boiler needs replacing. I'd probably replace my boiler every two years listening to such advices mindlessly.

Hm, I feel like the dumbest loser in the world:) I did google one of these manual, but it was scanned by hand, quality of the one I found is so bad that it is useless in fact. The one on Ideal website is very good quality. I should start from there.

Thanks

I dont think its a very good idea for you to come to this forum and express such a distrust for the professionalism of boiler engineers.

We give our time free of charge to help people with advice.

Nor do I think that DIY boiler repairs on the combustion side are a good idea.

these boilers are a nightmare. If you start fiddling with it yourself you'll either make it leak more or worse, make it dangerous. Save yourself a trip to casualty and get someone in who's qualified and familiar with the boiler.

That'll be a least 10 yrs old and should have been modified in a number of areas,eg gas valve and burner, condense trap, pcb,Leave it to an engineer who is familiar with these models. If the mods have not been done then be prepared to lay out some cash.
