Mira SPORT airboost shutdown with flashing light, won't start again

my mira sport airboost shuts down slowly and then the light flashes. Mira say it might be the water valve.

I think I saw a gasket kit for it. Is it serviceable, we live in hard water area.

I can hear (on my hearing aids T loop) the solenoid energised, and it cuts out immediately. But it takes much longer to turm off, and will contnue to run water even if the power is turned off.

Is it easy to take out? Could the solenoid be sticking? It makes a solid click at the end and the water stops.

When the light flashes, I cannot restart the shower, I have to turn off the power for 10 seconds.

How old is the shower?

It must be 4 years or so

I have changed the flow valve and it was alright for a while. now it is doing it again.
I was careful to make sure that the lower PCB retaining thing did not contact the plastic lever from the flow control.
It takes about 35 seconds for the water to shut down which it does with a click. It is the same if I simply turn off the mains.
The water is too hot to shower when the temperature is about 9 o'clock on max power button.

How does the flow valve work?
