Mira Thermostatic Shower Cutting Out

Got up this morning, turned the shower on & after about 30s it shuts off.

Builders have been in doing plumbing so assumed they had forgotten to turn something on so checked everything, all on. Hot water to all other taps, just nothing from the shower.

5mins goes by & again some water comes out, but then shuts off.

Appears to be no cold getting through as the water is very hot.

Could it be a thermostat issue?

Im no expert on showers but hopefully this helps.

It does seem like the shower is being starved of cold water, in which case, the thermostat is doing its job. Ie, shower runs for a short time until hot wayer arrives through pipe, temp gets above set temp so valve turns off, after a few minutes the water inside the valve cools enough for it to open again. And the cycle continues.

A good plumber will know exactly where to look. Prob a quick fix

Massive airlock, caused by the ongoing building work was the diagnosis
