Hi all,

I have fitted a new mixer tap with shower attachment, however, i've come across some water pressure problems, which i'm unsure how to solve.

I seem to have high cold water pressure (mains feed??) and low hot water pressure (from hot water tank) so when the shower is turned on the cold water forces it way down the hot feed!

Any ideas on what i can do to solve this?

stick a single check valve on the hot side.
not ideal for showers gravity hot mains cold.
they prefer balanced pressures.

Ah i see, this will stop the water travelling wrong way down pipe, yeah?

Would adding a pump on hot also help with difference in pressures?

you can add a pump but it can cause more problems than its worth,as your hot go's to the rest of the hot taps as well as the bath.

easyer to just buy a shower and put it on its own feeds and own pump.

Not got a great pressure at downstairs taps anyway, so pump might help there too.

Do like the idea of seperate pipes going to bath only though, as i guess this will help with regulating temp and flow if other feeds are used, such as kitchen tap and washing machine?
