mixer showers

If i was to fit a mixer shower and pump, replacing the bath for a double shower unit,and for ease plumb it in using the hot and cold water supply that was for the bath.....what is the problem in doing that instead of plumbing in from the top tank and header tank?

as long as the cold supply is tank fed

What do you do when its a combi boiler and there is no cold tank?
