Mobile phone Sync problems

My Samsung S3 mini, crashed over the holiday period, I had to factory reset.
My Google account seems to have restored contacts & apps etc, thank F.
The only problem I seem left with is I cant sync my 'S planner' to my Hotmail/Outlook account. I have a Samsung Tab3, that is linked & syncs ok.
I have spent the past 2hrs Gooogling & tried umpteen things.
Suggestions welcome (not silly ones like get a different phone).
