Moisture from brick?

hi all, just a quick question, I was installing some decking today and on drilling the perimeter to the external wall I noticed some moisture escaping, I immediately thought s**t, but it was only a tiny bit, no big leak or anything. And that was it, I was there the rest of the day and nothing came of it, this was an external house wall and I hadn't even fully gone through the external brick course.

Please tell me there's no way this was a pipe or anything? I don't see how it could be, but my drill did stop hammering then break through but tge could just be a coincidence, it rained all day yesterday and it's below the damp course, is this normal for moisture to come out of brick? Cheers!
