Just trying to find out whether moisture resistant plasterboard can be skimmed. I'm sure I've read in the past that it can't be.

If it can be skimmed, is it OK to use tapered edge as I'm finding it difficult to get square edge?

Thanks

yes you can skim mr board but it must be prepped with a bonding agent or pva, and yes skimming tapered board is no problem

I'd advise you use something a little more than just PVA; use either “Bond It” or a PVA/cement or even plaster slurry mix.

Hi

Can MR board be painted? And does it need a primer beforehand? This is for a bathroom ceiling. Can anyone reccommend the right product/brand?

Many thanks
JH

the bast way too prep m board i have found is too let steve lick it all day then skim after lol
i just cant resist that one lol
SORRY

??
sorry new here! I don't think I know Steve enough to ask him to lick my plasterboard!! :D

i'm not planning on skimming, just painting after filling the joins.

Any advice appreciated!

Cheers
