Mondeo Auto Gearbox

My 2005 TDCI Mondeo has developed a rough gearchange between 2nd and 3rd, it seems to jump into 3rd and even drops back to 2nd and then back upto 3rd when accelerating at normal speeds. It is intermittant but never a problem between 1st and 2nd or 4th and 5th.

Any thoughts?
