mondeo clutch noise

hi my mondeo which is a w reg make a tapping noise until i put my foot on the clutch drive fine just annoys so was wondering if anyone knew what it was and if its a big job to do

Probably the release bearing for the clutch on it's way out

I'm just guessing at that. Hard to diagnose over the interweb!
It's not a big job if you know what you're doing, and i would say around £200-£250 for a new complete clutch fitted.

Take it to several garages and get their opinion.......... dont just trust the first place you take it to to give you the correct diagnosis!
