Monobloc tap

This is probably a stupid question, but is a mono tap the same as a monobloc tap? I have to buy a replacement monobloc tap for my kitchen sink which a plumber is going to fit.

Mono, moanobloc, minibloc, monobollock, I've heard them all. Yes, they're the same.

In fact, I used to work with a guy nicknamed 'Mono'.
Stood for monobollock - he'd had one amputated.
