get yourself a cheap plastic u gauge and a decent electronic one , the u gauge would be the back up and to test abnormal readings from the electronic one just to double check
Although my Gas Analyser (which includes pressure readings positive and negative if needed) needs servicing/reclaibration each year, 9 times out of 10, I get the Regin Premiere 'j' gauge out.... no calibration, no moving the zero up and down or averaging both sides etc.
Just do not blow the precious blue liquid out, dearer than that channel19 perfume it is. Had it 11 years. no probs.
