More fuss about nasty words than about nasty actions.

Me neither...

But that is what israel is doing in Palestinian lands.
I don't like to see innocent people caught up in wars but unfortunately it happens. I don't agree that soldiers should get the abuse that they get for doing their jobs. Each side is tasked to kill the other so just leave them to get on with their jobs and do what they are paid to do. They shouldn't be subjected to the wrongs and rights of war, that abuse should be aimed towards the politicians that send the soldiers in the first place, they are simply doing their job.

So are you saying that all rules of war should be done away with and that there should be no accountability for committing what are clearly war crimes?

Is killing innocent civilians (on both sides) 'doing your job' as a soldier and what you are 'paid for' in your opinion?

And is using starvation as a weapon of war ok?

A lot of people are trying to prevent Israel getting food supplies to the Gazans, why do you suppose Hamas are trying to prevent aid from being sent in?

It isn't as black and white as the way you put it, that is a simplistic way of looking at it. No I do not agree with starving people, war crimes are a bit hazy as a soldier, soldiers should be accountable for crimes such as rape etc obviously. But the whole business of war should be, just let the soldiers do their jobs and aim the condemnations at the politicians and leaders. If you send an army to fight and kill, that is what you get. Do not condemn the soldiers for doing what they do.

A lot of people are trying to prevent Israel getting food supplies to the Gazans,

Chief among them is the government of Israel and the Israeli army, with violent support from Israeli extremist racists, and Zionists around the world.

Better post up some fake news pictures John, like the starving Gazan kids that were really cholera victims in Yemen.

"I was only obeying orders"
Actually that is the get out of jail card, however obeying orders will have no repercusions but we were talking about things that orders would not be given. Such as rape and killing innocent children etc. That is not following orders, that is going off the rails and is actually not a common theme for an army to do. Obviouslyy when this happens it goes out to the news and makes it sound like a set of rapists and child killers have been sent in. It is not your average soldier that does that sort of crime. If they do then they deserve to be punnished for such activities.
