mortice lock rebate

I have a two doors (paired) that are rebated.
I wish to fit a 3 inch (76mm)sashlock (mortice lock) When the rebate sets state \\\"..sizes available are 13mm, 25mm\\\"... Which dimension does this denote exactly?

FYI the doors are 44mm thick; rebate is 10mm (from the edge of the door); the rebates are half the thickness of the door (22mm)

you can buy a mortice lock/latch set specifically designed for rebated doors e.g external french doors.

is this what you have?

You can either buy the Rebated sets mentioned above (but check these are 5 lever British Standard rated), or use a British Standard lock with a rebate set. Also consider using surface or mortice bolts, mounted top and bottom on both doors to provide extra security and strength. If outward opening, then hinge bolts should also be used to prevent the hinges being cut and the door lifted out.

Thanks for the replies. I don't think I made myself clear...I think it maybe terminology (the lack of it on my part)

I bought two 6'6" x 2'9" x 44mm doors of solid engineered oak construction. ..to replace existing inward opening double doors.

The door opening is 65" wide ..so the supplier rebated them to produce paired doors for this size opening. The rebate is 10mm (from the edge of the door); the rebates are half the thickness of the door (22mm)

There are two problems that I would like to resolve:

Given the above I want to fit a 76mm sashlock (eg Union 5 lever sashlock) with a rebate set...what size rebate set (13mm 25mm etc) do I require?

The other problem is ..I want to fit a flush bolt into the edge of the non-opening leaf, so that they're concealed when closed (and more secure)

I cannot find suitable narrow flush bolts to fit into the rebated edge...without hacking a piece of the rebate out and ruining the look. 19mm bolts seem to be the thinnest available.
The alternative is to use Chubb bolts top/bottom ...but they wouldn't look as good ..since they would be visible on the inside of the door stiles. Any ideas??
