Most arrests for decades

why do you think this protest was any different to the last?

So, I have Googled that demo. More than 200 people were arrested. From your figures, I would assume that the 162 arrested under S13 were just wearing or holding the "I support" banner. And the others who were arrested under S12 were doing something more serious.

From the YouTube stuff - there were a lot of "just there" being arrested, some 500 or so, I'd agree they would be the S13. It seems plod rounded up the outer ring and immediately released pending bail. They then went after the inner circle. maybe they will issue an update soon.

A reminder
The government proscribed the group in July under the Terrorism Act of 2000, making membership of or support for it a criminal offence, punishable by up to 14 years in prison.
This came after they attacked an RAF base.
Also -- Cooper
"She defended the banning of Palestine Action, which she said was based on "strong security advice following serious attacks the group has committed" as well as "plans and ideas for further attacks, the details of which cannot yet be publicly reported due to ongoing legal proceedings"."

"Many people may not yet know the reality of this organisation,
but the assessments are very clear - this is not a non-violent organisation. UK national security and public safety must always be our top priority."
Does anyone need reminding of this nonsense spouted by Cooper?

I was quoting Cooper - I made no indication either way of support for the gov. Seems a good idea to ban a group that attacked an RAF base. And according to cooper are planning other attacks that are not yet in the public domain.
Seems a good idea to stop repeating such nonsense as "attacked an RAF base" without fact checking it

Nothing to do with others. You alone would be committing an offence if West Ham were a proscribed organisation.
Section 13 as MN points out. They were clearly expecting to be arrested by way of making a civil rights point.

Did anyone spot how noticeable the useful idiots were surrounded by people who were there but not there.

am i right in the following ?

A banner supporting Palestine would be OK
but a one supporting "Palestine Action" would be not as it is a designated terrorist organisation

but if it was worded
we need Action in Palestine - would that be a bit greyish, a bit close to the edge ?

and anyone with a placard about Jenocide ..... just sums up the whole left wing movement
Any one talking tripe...just sums up the whole right wing movement

I am sure I spotted the Ayatollah lurking right at the back, by Big Ben.
There were a lot of people silently filming. A lady squealing at the top of her lungs in some poor plods ear, but neither were "brave" enough to sit with the protesters.

There but not there.
