Motor Cycle turn table

Yup, a release bearing. Some are rings of carbon, but they saved me one suitable for the turntable, off a big van I think, and welded it to my plates. Strong as hell. I put dome nuts on the underside of the rotating platform corners. Thought about castors but they would have raised it . The old guy was made up, got quite teary.

Brings back memories. I recall, at the age of about 10, being allowed to push a trolley bus round on the old turntable in Christchurch. Here's a pic from Wikipedia :-

be more than a reasonable skill level required in a single garage that is just wide enough to turn it on a turn table and the tyres just make it around. I doubt Harry Potter could do that

Well they are not going to put a turntable next to every bike are they. I have one bike in my garage and a turntable is the simplest and easiest method of turning it round with just one hand. What do I want to be performing like a monkey for? I would sooner do it my way and not risk it going over again. Cheers though.
