Mould caused by leaking pipe

I could fit a plastic push-fit valve - just out of interest though why will that help? Is it less likely to leak again?

Yes for a DIYer push fit valve is better but make sure its the lever type (more robust) looking at the picky the olives are leaking at both ends. Have you not used jointing compound on the olives?. Don’t forget the inserts in either case!!!!!!! To be quite honest, you dont need valves on a bath anyway in a domestic situation, ditch them and put a push fit coupler in

The smell of damp will persist for some time, a dehumidifier will speed the process of clearing any damp smell. Then get access to the damage and you will have to get rid of any mould formed with a mould killer spray as best you can.
