Hi

I have pale wood-effect coloured vinyl flooring in my kitchen

recently I discovered a water leak by the external door, and that rainwater had got under the lino.

A black ink-like stain is now visible, and seem to have leached to the surface of the floor from the underside - so I can't get to it by cleaning the surface.

Is there any way to remove this - I assume that applying any bleaching agent to the underside will damage the wood-effect pattern, replacing a black mark with a white one ?

All suggestions very gratefully received !

Thanks !

As far as I'm aware there is nothing you can do to rectify this problem and the vinyl will have to be replaced. (Try claiming on insurance policy)
If you replace with the same, I would suggest you run silicone sealant around the perimeter of the floor to seal it against water ingress.
