Hi all I wasn’t sure where to post so hopefully this is ok. I’m in the process of decorating bedrooms. Both g drools on the front of my house have some sort of cupboard built into the room. In the one room we are knocking this down while emptying it I have noticed some mould where the wall meets the ceiling we are having this room plastered but I don’t want mould coming back. I went into my attic last night as while it was very windy out I couldn’t feel any breeze I suspect this means the insulation needs pulling back from the eves, could this be what’s causing the mould? Or ois there another issue I should look into. Thanks so much I should add in the second bedroom there was a media wall built when we took this down there was some mould there too in the same place eg where the wall meets the ceiling

Lack of ventilation is key, and this includes having windows open just a bit in bedrooms all year round.

A few things
Ventilate the void so thoroughly that moisture cannot accumulate there
Or
Seal it from the room so thoroughly that humid air from the room can't get in
Or
Warm it sufficiently that it is not prone to condensation and any damp will evaporate and escape. Waste heat may be generated from your electronic equipment if it is used daily.
Cavity wall insulation helps keep walls warmer.
Outside air is cooler and contains less water vapour than indoor air, so ventilating to the outside is better.
Bedrooms tend to be humid and need to be well ventilated every day.
You can do it by opening the bedroom window every morning when you get up and throw back the covers (the bedding absorbs moisture overnight, and needs airing).
If you have windows with a trickle vent, leave it open and this may be sufficient.
