Moved dryer - now lino is messed up

I slid my dryer forward to fit a new vent hose at the back. The back feet of the dryer caught on the lino so I pushed the dryer back into place. However, now the lino is all 'lumpy' - I can't smooth it down entirely (if I smooth one end down, the other 'swells up'). The funny thing is that before I moved the dryer, the lino looked fine. Any tips how to get it back to normal?
