Hi all

I currently live in an Edwardian 2 up 2 down terrace house. Currently the bathroom is above the kitchen in what would've been the back bedroom. I want to move this to the middle bedroom. For this to happen the toilet waste will need to go through the back bedroom for about 1.5 metres (it will be boxed in with about a 1 in 20 slope), then exit the house and turn through 90 degrees and then run for another 1.5 metres and connect to the soil stack. Is this allowed?
Also I plan to install a thermostatic shower, I currently have a combi boiler but this will get 'upgraded' to a condensing boiler at some point, the shower will be fitted to a stud wall I need to build, again is this OK and does any of this need building regs and is it acceptable for a competent DIYer to do this?

Thanks very much.

Andy

Sounds ok to me , as long as you have the fall you suggest , it would be advisable to fit rodding elbows on the soil pipe just in case there are any problems . As long as your confident go for it .

New bathroom toilet and new soil pipe connections needs Building Regulations approval unless done by a competent person who is a member of a certifying scheme.
