Moving a fridge/freezer

Yes you can put a fridge/freezer flat to transport it. BUT after standing it back wait several hours to allow the fluids to drain back down into the compressor before switching it on.
Most council tips will take old fridges and freezers but check first. Some have rules about doors being removed for safety.

I think it's recommended to leave for 24hrs to settle
