Hi - I have an ugly box where the supply from the pole comes into the property.
I need to move it about 5 meters or so, however there isnt enough slack in the cable.
I see there is something called "BT16A external box with crimps", is this the right sort of thing?

I am fine with electrics just never messed with BT before.

That box could be used, however if it's supplied with 'jelly crimps' they are only for use on modern wires (such as the coloured ones in the picture) and not the older flat twin type wire.

Only Openreach are supposed to move and modify such things anyway.

Well thank you, I didn't want to go on the Openreach merry go round but seems after some more reading they also own it, thanks again.
